Can you stand the heat stake Hardibacker board?

Plan to buy a kit octagon fire pit, and hold Hardibacker, then to then thinset typical stone fireplace. The inside of the stake must be of steel, so do not call directly to the cement board. Can the board Accession cement and stone thinset control the heat with typical, or is there some other product (s) should consider?

How thick is the stone? How far from the fire wall be? Are you burning wood or something else? There are several products that people call handibacker, that one is talking about? A board is pressed and I would not use that, I use one made of cement. He also called cement board, so you think you are right things.
